A Modern Fairy Tale

This week at "Collage Obsession" the theme is "Fairy Tales"

At school we have been working with fairy tales and fractured fairy tales. As I thought about this topic, my thoughts turned to these fractured fairy tales. Then the idea of a modern fairy tale presented itself and my tale wrote itself. (See here for the written story as part of the Slice of Life Challenge.

Then the task was to turn it into a collage.

I used a paper I had created while working with the gelli plate - for clearing off extra paint. I loved the colours and designs.

Then I added most of the story and a few pictures (even a photo of my 8 yr. old self)

The moral of the story:

Be sure to check out all the artwork here.

Very touching piece of art! The story telling is short but effective. I like the background. It is nice to look at and supports the text well. :) I'll certainly keep in mind the moral of your story!
