WOYWW and Saying Gooddbye to 2014

Hard to believe it is the end of another year. 2014 has sped by. I have been reflecting the past few days on the year that was and have chosen my word for 2015 - BLOOM. I created the canvas that I will place in my art room to remind me of the message behind the word. (See here to how I chose the word.)

Here is my work table after finishing the canvas.
(Be sure to check at "Stamping Ground" for workspaces from around the world - a great meme each week)

I really need to start fresh - a new cover on the table and the paints reorganized!

I have great hopes for 2015. I want to write more and create art more. There are several challenges I am already looking forward to.

Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year!

Weekly Wrap-Up

My wrap-up of the week didn't happen Sunday - but here are a few things I have finished this past week.
The end of November say a completion of:

1.  NaNoWriMo - I was able to write 50,000 words and worked on several writing projects. It has spurred my desire to keep writing.

2. PiBoIdMo - I produced 30 picture book ideas and actually wrote a first draft for one of the ideas.

3. AEDM - I finished my zen page

and almost carved a stamp a day.

Here are a few more:

here are some other projects:

Collage
I came across this wonderful quote by Henri Nouwen and it is so appropriate for December.

ATCs

I only worked on one set of cards (Christmas trees) this past week, although I have a number to work on this week.

Gratitude

This is "30 Words Thursday" and to honour Thanksgiving, I created a poem about gratitude and created some collage quote pages.

Gratitude
Giving thanks
Should be a way of life
Not just at Thanksgiving
But daily.
Cultivating an attitude of gratitude
Improves health.
So,
Count your blessings
Keep a journal.

Say thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sunday Weekly Wrap-up

Time for a sharing of my art explorations from the past week - a little bit of everything.

Journal 52
I follow this weekly challenge but I haven't participated for a while. this past week's challenge appealed to me as I just received this quote from Suzanne Lieurance - her advice is to say this every day on waking.

What a wonderful way to start the day!

Stamps
I've been trying to carve a stamp a day and I have only missed a few days. These are some of my Christmasy ones.

(made me realize I need new stamp pads!)

ATCs
I created a couple of sets of ATCs this week.

Christmas ZENS

PAT cards

ZEN Project
I have completed more zens.

Photography
Here are a couple of photos from the week - it was a snowy one! And now the snow is gone!

Shadow Shot Sunday

Subtle shadows were allIi could capture the past couple of days. The snow and clouds made finding shadows a bit of a challenge.

Couldn't resist this reflection.

WOYWW

A snowy day outside and I have just finished playing with paint at my worktable. Now, I am going to use some of the papers I created for some ATCs..

My painting is done in my art room in our basement. Here's a look at some of the papers I created.

(The roll-offs actually make some really interesting backgrounds - great for journals.

When I create ATCs or stamps or work in my journal, I do that at the dining room table. Here I am just about ready to work on some cards before supper.

Be sure to check out "Stamping Ground" for a look at worktables around the world!
