Sunday Weekly Wrap-Up

This week has definitely turned cooler and wetter. The leaves are not only changing colour but are falling !

This week I worked mostly on sets  of cards for 3 swaps. I am almost caught up!

What's That Tune? -mixed media

PAT cards - each person chooses a theme in your group - these were all watercolour/sharpies.

Thursday November 1 starts AEDM (Art Every Day Month)  at Creative Every Day. I am already planning what I want to do for this month of creativity
. I had started creating  large playing card quote cards and had plans to do a deck worth., but only created a few.  I want to continue and create cards highlighting my favourite quotes.

Here are several of the cards I created:

I have many books of quotes. I have always kept them - some with just quotes, some with stories and articles that have meaning. These are the current ones for 2012:

I hope to create more stamps as well, as I have gotten away from carving them. I need that extra push of AEDM to get back to creating daily.

Alisa Burke is hosting a fun daily Holiday online course. It starts Nov. 12 – but if you register by Oct. 31 you will save $10. I've signed up and looking forward to lots of inspiration to get ready for the holidays.

I

've done a wee bit of photography this week - not enough though. Hope to do more through November.

Happy Hallowe'en in advance!

And, to those on the east coast - keep safe!

Shadow Shot Sunday

Today is a typical cloudy, rainy fall day. Luckily I had captured some shadows last week when we had much nicer weather.
Here are a few shadows from my yard.

Sunday Weekly Wrap-Up

Sunday Weekly Wrap-up (finally!)

Fall is definitely here. I love the colours - the trees seem much brighter this year.
It has been a few weeks since I blogged, although I have been visiting a few favourite bloggers.
I need to get back to routines though - I really missed taking part in challenges and hearing from people.
I have been creating - creating ATCs for ATCSforall has been a blessing. I have needed an outlet, and here are a few of the cards I have created over the past month.

 Haunted Houses

Peanuts

Watercolour Landscapes

I have been photographing as well. Here are a few of my favourites -

and of course, skies.

So. I'm back, once again.

Shadow Shot Sunday

Once again, time to share shadows. The search for shadows has become an addictive, but fun practice. Many times it is the shadows I notice first - rather than trying to lessen them I want them!
Here are a few from the past week:

For those who have followed my blog through SSS, I must tell you that my beloved cat Fluffy died this week, at age 20. The post below offers a tribute to her.  Here is a final photo, my favourite, from a year or so ago.

RIP Fluffy.

Goodbye Fluffy

Goodbye dear Fluffy. I cannot believe you are gone. You have been such a wonderful part of our lives for so long.
We have had you for 20 years - you have had 9 lives for sure.
I remember when we got you - for 25c, from a local farm. You were only 5 weeks old and you had a tough time at first separating from your mom. You suckled on my crocheted afghans for a long time.
You also could not stop climbing screens when you wanted to come in. I don't know how many we had to replace. You were a great mouser, although you did like the odd chipmunk.
In the last few years,  since your special girl moved out, you had finally come to sit on our laps as we watched TV.
You also were a wonderful alarm clock - heaven forbid if we slept in. We could hear your meows. I can just image you telling us to get moving and feed you!
You were also quite the guard cat. No matter which of our cars arrived home last, you were always there to welcome us home. Except today.
I am going to miss you so much (as will everyone in our family). You were such a lovely, ornery, special cat. So smart, so unique.
Goodbye Fluff.
