Yesterday flew by with appointments and resting from a cold. So here now are a few things I worked on this week.

Harvest Full Moon Dreamboard
Iused to create a full moon dreamboard every month a few years ago. I found it a valuable exercise to focus on dreams and wishes for the month ahead. Jamie Ridler hosts classes in creating dramboards.
The question to focus on while creating the dreamboard was " What dreams do you wish to bring to fruition? Here was my response.

ICAD
This yearly challenge at Daisy Yellow stresses using index cards to create daily art. I've done it a few years now and enjoy the freedom to just play with paper on a cheap canvas.The challenge runs for June and July.

WOYWW

Today it is time to share our work spaces and what we are working on for WOYWW - the fun meme hosted by Julia Dunnit at "Stamping Ground".

Yesterday, I played with paint for the start of a journal - which became the choice for V at ABC Wednesday (variegated). My art table was a wee bit messy then.

I was also making the backgrounds for "truth cards" - a project for "Journey to the Heart"  at "Words of Me Project".

I then worked on the truth cards at the dining room table - by stamping, adding some images and words and quotes.

Here are a few of the 12 cards I created:

Then this morning, I worked on my journal page.

 I had found a quote on variety (for the V challenge) and then in the newspaper this morning was an editorial about the coming extinction of the Cavendish banana. Diversity is being lost in so many places. This quote really spoke to that.

This is the end of this 16th romp through the alphabet with ABC Wednesday.

This is also the last of my posts for awhile as a take a summer break to pursue a number of different activities. Hope to see you back in August!

WOYWW
Each week Julia hosts the fun meme WOYWW at "Stamping Ground" - a chance to share your workspace and what you are working on.

My table was a wee bit cluttered as I finished the journal page above.

I thought I would step back and share a bit more of my art room - I actually have three bookshelves - 2 for art and craft supplies and one of books - mostly teaching books that I haven't been able to part with yet. (My plan is to do that this summer.)

WOYWW and ABC Wednesday - S

This week at ABC Wednesday, the letter is S.

S is for stamps and stencils.

For this journal page, I gessoed pages in an old music book, used the large writing stamp on the left in four spots and then used a stencil to add the word "Create" and then some flowers with modeling paste.
Stencils and stamps can be used in so many ways - and they are fun to use.



WOYWW

Time for the weekly sharing of our workspaces at Julia's "Stamping Ground" for WOYWW.
By the time I was finished the journal page, I had letter stamps and stencils, inkpads and daubers scattered around it.

While I let the first layers dry, I looked for a quote about creating and discovered this one by Dejan Stojanovic - it seemed appropriate.

One thing I did learn was to wait for the modeling paste to dry!

ABC Wednesday - H and WOYWW

We have moved to H in the journey through the alphabet at ABC Wednesday.

H is for hearts

Sharing our worktables each week at "Stamping Ground" is a fun meme - one that also ensures I actually get down to my worktable to do some art!

Here's the look of it after I completed the above journal page (which I had painted and shared last week). Here is the second layer of traced hearts, with my cut out painted hearts on the right, ready to be added.
