ART on Friday

Time to share some art I've created for art challenges this week for ART on Friday.

Sunday Postcard Art
The theme at Sunday Postcard Art this week is "Evolution". I thought a quote by Charles Darwin would be appropriate.

Tag Tuesday
The theme at Tag Tuesday for the past two weeks was "apples and pears. (The photos is of my Mon and Dad - with me peaking out)

Take a Word Challenge
The theme at Take a Word Challenge is "Fence". I created a very simple background to highlight the quotes.

ART on Friday (on Saturday!)

Yesterday flew by with appointments and resting from a cold. So here now are a few things I worked on this week.

Sunday Postcard Art
The theme this week at Sunday Postcard Art was "hands"
Here's my postcard:

Journal Page

I had collected a few other quotes so thought I'd create a journal page for hands as well:

Take a Word Challenge
The theme at Take a Word Challenge was "Flight"

29 Faces
I have been very slack about drawing faces this week. Here is my favourite:

Harvest Full Moon Dreamboard
Iused to create a full moon dreamboard every month a few years ago. I found it a valuable exercise to focus on dreams and wishes for the month ahead. Jamie Ridler hosts classes in creating dramboards.
The question to focus on while creating the dreamboard was " What dreams do you wish to bring to fruition? Here was my response.

ART on Friday

Hard to believe that it has been almost four months since I posted anything, let alone Art on Friday. I took an extended break - from blogging here and even from art. Life overtook everything - and i am now ready to return some former routines - including blogging, creating and taking part in art challenges. I really have missed that, although I have visited blogs as often as I could.
I know I need to create and I've missed that.
My art room is in a state of upheaval right now - but my goal is to get it organized by the end of September.

Here are a few things I created this week and the challenges I took part in.

29 Faces
This challenge for September encourages us to create a face a day. Here are a couple I did this week.

Sunday Postcard Art
The theme this week at Sunday Postcard Art is "Changing seasons"

Take a Word Challenge
The theme at Take a Word Challenge is "Doorway"

Creative Every Day

Another week has gone by and we are almost mid month. Mother's Day is on Sunday and I am going to a potluck tomorrow with my children and granddaughter and then a barbecue for supper with my stepchildren and their kids. What a treat!

Here are a few things I've worked on this week:

"Steal Like an Artist Journal" Challenge
There are so many fun prompts to do in Austin Kleon's journal. Here are just 2 I did this week:

I decided to use one when I was a month old and my Mom is holding me.

Tag Tuesday
The theme at Tag Tuesday is "Sea World".
I was looking for some fish photos I had, but found this seahorse statue I photographed when I was in Puerta Vallarta several years ago. It is truly amazing.
