Shadow Shot Sunday

This week the weather was cloudy - not a great week for shadows. But this morning the sun was streaming in - so bright and sunny.

So I grabbed my camera and before the batteries died ( ugh!), I was able to capture a few shadows for Shadow Shot Sunday.

Shadow of our huge tree at the side of the house.

Shadow from our tree at the front.

This is shadows from our angel.

Be sure to visit the other great shadow chasers at Hey Harriet!

Oh, great ones, Beverly! I particularly like the last two, they look so delicate and fragile. We had a couple of hours of sun this morning, but I had already posted mine. But that's ok I got some shots I can use next week when the sun may disappear again! Hope you're having a great weekend! Stay warm!

shadows Beverly, there is something extra special about a shadow when it appears in snow! Have a nice week x

Snow is a wonderful medium for the art of the shadow. The tree leaves a massive light altering shadow, the grasses/shrubs delicate one instead. The sun allows for a warm feeling even with all the frozen snow below. The dead batteries worked just enough to make wonderful poses in the snow!

Sometimes we take sunshine for granted but this time of year we rejoice in its presence.

Very nice shadows. I tend to forget that other people have snow, we have none here and have only had one light sprinkling that didn't stick, we are getting spring weather with the usual Vancouver rain.
Have a great week!

I simply can't get enough of the wonderful snow scenes coming out of America and Europe in this week's Shadow Shot Sunday. Here I am, sitting in the subtropical afternoon sun, lapping it all up.

Wow! That tree casting the shadow in the first photo must be gigantic! Lucky you. I bet it provides some lovely & much needed shade in summer. Very nice photos, and this week they enlarged when I clicked on them (they don't normally) so I'll be able to finally put one in a collage next week. Yay! I realise it doesn't matter to you about being included or not, but it makes me happy that I can :)

Sounds like you have everything organised for the new year, what a great start.
Also lovely photoes, haven't seen or felt snow in a long time, I used to love the sound when walking on it.
