I have always wanted only the best for my extended family.
For the past 2 years , with the turmoil of my mother's illness and then death, causing division between my siblings and myself, I have felt estranged from them. We communicate, but just out of politeness. I don't know if we will ever recover what was lost. But, my wish is that we can create new bridges that will restore the sense of family and connectedness we had.
With my own children, I wish that they achieve what they seek, that they have health and happiness beyond measure.
(I wish for the return though, of joyous family celebrations, where we all get together and share in the happiness of all occasions.)
For my stepchildren and their children, I wish for prosperity, happiness and good health for all.

Beverly, grief does a number on you. I know. My sister & father passed within 18 mos of each other. I barely spoke to my brother & sil for almost a year& 1/2. (over something stupid) However I constantly prayed that God would soften their hearts, and my prayers were answered. Sometimes you have to be in darkness, to recognize & revel in the light. I am sending healing prayers & hugs your way.
As Beverly wishes for her herself & family, so I wish also:)
As Beverly wishes for herself and her family I wish for her also. Family stuff can be so painful, I am experiencing some of what you describe and it really hurts expecially at holiday times. Maybe with all of these wishes some healing will occur. Take care.
Beverley, I hear the pain you're feeling over your family. As time goes by, I truly hope that you can all come together in peace and love.
As you wish for yourself and your family, so I wish for you. Really - 2010 is a year of fresh starts. I hope for great things to come your way.

So often it is the loss of a mother which creates a rift. Mothers are often the glue in a family. It might never be exactly the same but love bridges gaps.
