Art on Friday

This week both gratitude and a full moon inspired me to create journal pages.

Art Journal Journey
With American Thanksgiving this week and the theme of "autumn colours" at Art Journal Journey, I used inspiration from Valerie -Jael of  Bastelmania to create this page.

Full Frost Moon Dreamboard
I have returned to the practice of creating a dreamboard on the ful moon and find it valuable.
The question posed by Jamie Ridler " What dreams are becoming clear?" was the focus  as I gathered words and images,

This time I found several quotes that spoke to me used those to motivate me in the month ahead.

The theme of shifting gears struck me as necessary - changing what I do to achieve better results - not only in my writing but in my pursuit of better health.
The need to express my creativity came through as well.

Several om "One little Words" found there way on the dreamboard as well - as a reminder to seek joy, believe I can achieve, and bloom.

Faces

Art it Friday - Paint Party Friday

Once again joining in "Show Your Face" at Kim Dellow's blog

and sharing two faces I created.

The first is one in my journal with acrylic paint. I again used a magazine model but had a challenge with the eyes this time. This quote by Confucius is one I hold dear.

The second is a watercolour portrait, again using a magazine model.

A Face and a Journal Page

Art it Friday - Show Your Face

Joining in the weekly meme at Kim Dello blog has encouraged me to practice drawing faces.
This week I only created one - using a magazine face as a model and then using watercolour to complete the face.
I used a background I had already made but the colour effected the face colour. in the end.The message of the quote though is what I was aiming for.

I also created another journal page. I had made several quilt pages for ABC Wednesday and had a lot of scraps of paper. I began gluing them down in another journal and the quote fit perfectly.
