Shadow Shot Sunday

It may be officially spring, but that is in name only! I awoke  this morning to a fresh covering of snow and below freezing temperatures. Luckily, I was out yesterday capturing some shadows - it was warmer and sunny.

Sunday Weekly Wrap-up

Finally - posting on a Sunday! I have had a busy few weeks, with writing and tutoring, so really haven't created much art. I've missed it though. Today I had some fun collaging and created a few pieces.

Full Worm Moon Dreamboard
Tonight is the full worm moon and I had to create my dreamboard. I wrote about it here, complete with the how to's of creating it.

Here are some of my dreams for the month ahead.

Journal 52/ One Word
I have been enjoying the weekly challenges at Journal 52 and have completed a couple of collages for the prompts. "Dream" is also one of the prompts at 'One Little Word".

Stars
I loved these quotes by Maya Angelou

and
Harriet Tubman

so created with both.

Colour Swatch inspiration:
My colours were orange and turquoise and I used gelli papers and another quote about dreaming - for the full moon!

Writing
I have been writing daily for the March Slice of Life  challenge at "Two Writing Teachers". It has been a challenge at times deciding what to write about, but I am enjoying it.

Sunday Weekly Wrap-Up

It's hard to believe it is already March - especially as we have a wind chill warning tonight!

I've taken a number of breaks this month  Whether it was the February blahs, I haven't felt like creating much. I have been writing fairly regularly and for March, my main goal for creativity is to take part in the Daily Slice of Life at "Two Writing Teachers". I have started a new blog at wordpress for my writing journey. Check it out here - please. I still am working to complete the blog - I am finding wordpress not as user friendly as blogger.

March Calendar
I am participating in "The Kathryn Wheel's" calendar challenge this year. and have finished my March calendar - ready for writing in!

Journal 52
This past week, the prompt was: What do you want to be when you grow up:

My dreams:

29 Faces
Well, I didn't do quite that many and I still need more practice - but I did enjoy the February challenge. Here are a few more of my faces:

ATCs
I only had one swap to work on this past week - butterflies on cards.

Photography
With the fresh snow last night (about 2"), and the bright light this afternoon, I had to get some photographs. Here are a few shots of snow!
