February's Canvas

One of my yearlong projects is to complete a canvas each month. In January, the 8x10 canvas was on Joy - my word of the year.

This month, with snow and cold, I wanted a bit of colour and spring.
I have been enjoying Dana Barbieri's beautiful daily floral creations and I was inspired by her work to create my own  floral painting.

For a first try, it is more expressive than realistic. I had fun with the process.

ATCs
I also created some ATCs tonight.

It has been a busy week - see here  and here to see some of my other work.

Love the colours! Your painting makes me think of flowers floating on water - love it!

That raccoon is so darn cute!!! I love raccoons even though they are rascals and rip up my lawn (I don't really care). Recently one very early morning I scared one out of our tree where he was sitting munching on the berries.
