One of my yearlong projects is to complete a canvas each month. In January, the 8x10 canvas was on Joy - my word of the year.
This month, with snow and cold, I wanted a bit of colour and spring.
I have been enjoying
Dana Barbieri's beautiful daily floral creations and I was inspired by her work to create my own floral painting.
For a first try, it is more expressive than realistic. I had fun with the process.
ATCs
I also created some ATCs tonight.
It has been a busy week - see
here and
here to see some of my other work.

It shows you've enjoyed painting those flowers right? Saludos
Love the colours! Your painting makes me think of flowers floating on water - love it!
Love the flowers and it's fun to see your paint going right off the canvas...
lovely florals and I like the wrap around on the edges... makes it look polished...xx
the spring colors make me smile! love how you wrapped the flowers around on the sides! :)
Loving your floral artwork.

That raccoon is so darn cute!!! I love raccoons even though they are rascals and rip up my lawn (I don't really care). Recently one very early morning I scared one out of our tree where he was sitting munching on the berries.
Lovely creations, so very cute too! HPPF!
