This week D is the focus at ABC Wednesday.
Continuing on creating an ATC for each letter, I chose to focus on:
D is for Diagonal
I decided to create a card with strips of paper created from my gelli plate prints.
I then used some scraps to create another card - X marks the spot.
Here is a description of diagonal lines from
here:
"Diagonal lines suggest a feeling of movement or direction.
Since objects in a diagonal position are unstable in relation to gravity, being
neither vertical nor horizontal, they are either about to fall, or are already
in motion, as is certainly the case for this group of dancers. In a two
dimensional composition diagonal lines are also used to indicate depth, an
illusion of perspective that pulls the viewer into the picture-creating an
illusion of a space that one could move about within. Thus if a feeling of
movement or speed is desired, or a feeling of activity, diagonal lines can be
used."
Be sure to check out the way others around the world look at D
here.

The first colour combination is very pleasing. Thanks for stopping by to comment on my blog. I wish the Castaways was available of DVD, but alas, no. - Margy
