Sky Watch Friday

The heat dome sitting over the US midwest has sent record-breaking temperatures throughout Canada as well today. This week has been progressively hotter and hotter each day. A swim after work has been wonderful - our local outdoor pool has not even been crowded.

But today, the temperature could hit 38 C - with humidex of 45+. Hot for us for sure!

The skies were a bit moody at the beginning of the week, but now there is just that blue with a sprinkling of clouds. Here are a few skies from earlier in the week:

Be sure to stop by here and see gorgeous skies around the world!

I was out earlier for a coffee (I know, I'm a bit addicted!) and there was no-one on the patios of any of the cafes or restaurants! Way too hot!
But the puffy clouds in the blue sky are nice.

Despite the heat, you've captured some wondrous skies!

SKY SONG

Glowing moon and shining stars,
Venus, Jupiter and Mars,
Planets swirling round the sun;
Darkness falls when day is done.

In the vast and endless sky
Eagle, wren and falcon fly;
Over hill and dale they roam,
Calling cloud and thunder home.

Yeah, I love those sky pics! Phew it's hot here in NYC, as well. And I'm not looking forward to tomorrow's even higher temps. Ugh. Thank goodness for A/C. My heart goes out to those who don't have relief from this heat! Stay cool, my friend!

The clouds are beautiful in your photos, Beverley!

I'll be pleased - very pleased - when this heat wave is over. :)
