Sunday Photo Share

Typical shot of the trees around - with the rain and wind lately, most of the trees have lost their leaves. I actually caught the cardinal as well.

Time to share a few photos from the week for my Sunday Photo Share

Shadow Shot Sunday

The shadows this week are so different - from fine lines to blotches to lacy.

Check here to see what shadows others from around the world captured.

ART on Friday

What a week and I don't even live in the U.S.

It was a day to remember today - and the ceremony in Ottawa certainly was moving. Hearing leonard Cohen recite "In Flanders Fields" was hard. Hard to believe he is gone.

I created a tag this week for ABC Wednesday - in remembrance.

Colour Me Positive

This week at LuLu Art, the theme was about finding our purpose and passion. Teaching was always my passion. I defined myself as a teacher. Now that I have retired I am still trying to discover my purpose. I create and write but dabble more than am possessed. I really need to find what my passion is.

Art Tags
The only other art I did this week was to create an art tag a day. Here are the last 4:

ABC Wednesday - R and WOYWW

This week at ABC Wednesday, R is the letter to focus on.

In Canada, November 11th is Remembrance Day - a time to remember those who have sacrificed so much.

So, R is for Remembrance Day as well as regiments and the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry (RHLI)

(Learn more here, about this regiment -  Our oldest combat infantry unit.)

Be sure to check here to see what others around the world did for R.

WOYWW

Each week Julia Dunnit of "Stamping Ground", encourages us to share our workspaces and what we are working on.
Once again, I created my art tags at my dining room table - this time, rushing to finish before dinner.

I am also working on a set of art tags with writing quotes, so I finished today's as well as the Remembrance Day tag.

The weather the past few days has actually been lovely - blue skies, warmer days.
Hard to believe it is now November.

Shadow Shot Sunday

Yesterday i was able to capture a number of shadows as the sun was so bright.

Be sure to check here to see what shadows  others around the world captured.

Sky Watch Friday

The blue skies really highlighted the col,our of the trees.

Check here to see wonderful skies from around the world.

Flowers
I had thought our flowers would have all died with the frost last week, but there are still a few showing their petals and beauty.

ART on Friday on Saturday

Getting away for a few days meant no blogging, no ART on Friday - and even late on Saturday.
Here then are a few things I've been working on this week.

Colour Me Positive
This week at LuLu Art, the theme is about having a positive attitude.

I also created a canvas with the theme about making change as well.

AEDM and Art Tags
This month for AEDM, I am making art tags with writing quotes. Here are the tags for the first 5 days:

Day 5 is in honour of Breeder's Cup (held yesterday and today) and an amazing jockey - Calvin Borel (who has won the Kentucky Derby 3 times):

AEDM

Each November, Leah Piken Kolidas of "Creative Every Day", hosts AEDM (Art Every Day Month). It is a wonderful challenge to encourage daily creativity - no matter what you choose to do.
I have taken part a number of times and enjoyed each challenge.
This year, I decided to create art tags (which is my 365 day challenge for myself) with writing quotes that will encourage me through NaNoWriMo.

Here are the first 2:

Nov.1

Nov. 2

I also repurposed a canvas I had done a while ago, to highlight a quote I need to have front and centre in my life.

ABC Wednesday - Q and WOYWW

This week at ABC Wednesday - Q gets all the attention.

Q is definitely for Queen - in this case, Queen Elizabeth II, Britain's longest running monarch. (aas well as the Commonwealth, which Canada belongs to)

Be sure to check here to see what others around the world do for Q.

WOYWW

Each week Julia Dunnit of Stamping Ground asks us to share our sorkspaces as well as what we are working on.

Here is my dining room table where I created this art tag and another one.

Here is my craft table in the basement where I do most of my painting. Here are another set of cards I created with ink, plus the background for the tag on the Queen.

T for Tuesday
This challenge asks us to share what we are drinking and creating. It may be difficult to see, but I was drinking a glass of cranberry juice. I was told by a doctor recently to drink more cranberry juice, as well as coconut waterr. I am trying!
