Wishcasting Wednesday

Each week Jamie Ridler asks a very pointed question, one that gets us to look inward and seek out our deepest desires.

This week it is no different. She asks us:

What do you wish to ask for?

As I thought about it this morning, several things flitted through my mind. But, the wish that dominated was that I wish to ask for a kindred spirit, someone to share things with, to laugh with, to do things with.

Since moving here 6 years ago I have met many people through work and church. I am friendly with them, but it doesn't extend much past church or school functions. I miss my old friends but the distance is such that we can't see each other often. Yes, I have a loving husband and we do many things together, but a woman friend is quite different and I miss that.

I tend to be shy, to hang back. I don't push myself on people. As I get older it seems to be more of a challenge to really connect with people on a deeper level. Hence the term "kindred spirit" (from "Anne of Green Gables" one of my favourite books). So I ask for a kindred spirit!

As Jamie says:

"You can be a maker of magic and a tender of wishes. It’s easy. Answer the wish prompt above on your blog . Support wishes by visiting other participants. It’s that simple. There is great power in wishing together."

I wish for you to find your kindred spirit this week. Maybe its someone you know who is also shy and is looking for a kindred spirit in you. As you wish for yourself, I wish also for you.

I wish you to find someone to share things with, to laugh with, to do things with - your kindred spirit, a true close friend. As you wish for yourself, I wish for you.

As you wish for yourself, so I truly wish for you also. To not only finding your kindred spirit, but noticing it when it happens.

I wish for you to find a kindred spirit. I am much like you, shy to make friends and have no kindred spirit either. I hope the universe answers your wish.

We all need to ask for your wish for us. As Bev wishes for herself, so I wish for her also.

oh, this post really touched my heart. I have a couple of girlfriends closeby that I do things occasionally with. And we're Kindred Spirits, of sorts. But I'm missing that 'one' special one.....since losing my BFF almost 2 years ago.

This sort of relationship is so very important!!! And so, with much heartfelt energy, as you wish for yourself, I wish for you as well!

I know what you mean I sometimes feel isolated living in the middle of nowhere (I LOVE it) & even tho there's an artisit community, there really is nobody like me!! I've found lots of kindred spirits in this fabulous blog world, never thought I would - we'll keep wishing!

Sometimes it takes a while to find a kindred spirit, but when you do you'll know it immediately. As you wish for yourself, I wish for you also.
