Wishcasting Wednesday

A new week - and a new month! - a new wish from Jamie Ridler of Jamie Ridler Studios.

What is your money wish?

I could retire from teaching this year, but financially it is not the right time. When we married nine years ago we were both recovering from financially draining divorces. Here we were at 50 entering marriage as a 20-something with few assets. We have just paid off our house and are slowly building up our retirement fund.

I would so love to retire, so that is my money wish:

that we can crunch the numbers and find a way that I could retire next year rather than in 2 or 3 years.

As Jamie says:
"You can be a maker of magic and a tender of wishes. It’s easy. Answer the wish prompt above on your blog. Support wishes by visiting other participants. It’s that simple. There is great power in wishing together."

As Bev wishes for herself, I wish for her as well. I am trying to come up with a new word rather than retire which I am finding difficult. I am thinking of reinvention. As I read your posts that is what I see you doing now - you are reinventing your life so that when you do retire you will be ready for a whole new experience.
I may not have time to post today but I will definitely post on Sunday. Thank you for stopping by last week. I really appreciated it.

Oh, I do hope you can manage to crunch the numbers enough to retire next year.

As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you also.

May the numbers work so that you may enjoy retirement in the very near future.
