Shadow Shot Sunday

Another cloudy morning, with more flurries possibly today.
I am ready for spring and March Break! - so thought I would dip back in the past, to a trip to Mexico for some lovely shadows and sun!

Be sure to check here for wonderful shadows from around the world.

More Mexican Shadows

Shadows abounded in the lush tropical paradise we visited a few weeks ago. Thought I would share a few more.
(I am seeking some help to be able to link directly to SS2 - I have a new computer and I can no longer highlight and insert a link. Any ideas???)

Back once again, after an absence!

March Break brought not only a needed rest and much relaxation, but a longer break from blogging. I did not really appreciate how tired I have been and how much I needed to just take each day at a much slower pace, with few commitments.
But after a couple of weeks away, i am ready and eager to get back to creating again and blogging. I have missed both.
We had a wonderful week away in Neuvo Vallarta. We rested by the pools, read, drank margaritas and swam a bit. A lovely way to rest and restore.
I had such fun snapping shots of the animals, birds and flowers, not to mention the water! Here are my favourite shots:

I am returning to this fun photo challenge after a few weeks. I took lots of photos in Mexico - and of course many were of shadows! With the bright sun and the green foliage, shadows were abundant.

Shadow Shot Sunday

After 2 very warm days we are back to blowing winds and flurries, with more snow on the way! So I thought I would look back on warmer shadows in relief!
As we are trying to decide where to go for March Break I was looking back at our Mexico trip last year. Here are a few more shadows from that trip:

Sunday Citar

Sunday Citar is a forum for sharing special quotes and photos that have meaning for you.

The following are 2 quotes I came across this week (and the photos are from my Mexican trip):

Faith is the bird that feels the light and sings when the dawn is still dark.”

~ by Rabindranath Tagore

"The real voyage of discovery is not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes."

Shadow Shot Sunday

Shadows are an interesting subject for photography. Each week many of us search them out - they lurk in unlikely spots. Many times you discover them after you check photos for the week.

I was looking back on our Mexico photos this week and found more shadows, so I decided to share these this week. On a dreary day, sun and warmth are appreciated!

(Yes, we did attend a bull fight and I did not last long! I was ready to boo the matadors but luckily my hubby restrained me!)

Tracey of Hey Harriet! does such a wonderful job creating mosaics of many of the shadows for the week! Thanks Tracey!

ABC Wednesday - J is for J (Mexican)

IT is Time once again for ABC Wednesday - the focus this week is J.

I returned Sunday from a lovely week's holiday in Mexico and I thought last night that their letter J would be a good focal point for this week's challenge.

There is quite a difference between how we say our J and their pronunciation - more like an H.
Names like - Javier and Jesus; jalepeno peppers.
Also, we visited the state of Jalisco on the west coast of Mexico. We stayed with a friend in Neuvo Vallarta and did lots of swimming, touring and some shopping. I loved the beaches and flowers, trees and skies. I must have taken well over a thousand pictures!

(Here are a few to enjoy.)

I missed last week's focal letter and saw the perfect I - an iguana!
