Wedding Day
Young love
Frozen in time
Their lives together
Ahead of them
Children, moves, change, suffering.
My parents in 1950
United on their wedding day
Smiling, hoping, dreaming
Of their marriage ahead.
This photo is one of my favourites of my parents. They look so young. My mom was 21 and my father 27. He was a widower with a young son and my mom would take him on as her won and then have 4 more children. She was only 43 when my dad died and raised her children on her own, never remarrying.
At Treasures Found, a new challenge has been issued: 30 Word Thursdays
The
premise of 30 Words Thursdays is simple...
Take an
image.
Write 30 Words about it.
No more. No less.
Post it each
Thursday.

Such a beautiful old photo! I love the look of joy on their faces and the wonderful fashions and decor! Such a heartfelt poem, too! Welcome to the 30Words Miss Bev! Enjoy the day. Erin
Wonderful memories
What a classically beautiful photograph. I'm sure you treasure this photo along with the memories you have of the two of them. Thank you for sharing a snippet of those memories with us.
Lovely picture and sentiment to go along with it.
I love old photos. This one is lovely and comes with a beautiful story of true love.
So beautiful... picture and words. Thanks for sharing!
Love old pictures and the sentiment you wrote is so touching.
Exquisitely beautiful! They don't make wedding gowns like this any more. Your parents are so happy looking. The beginning of a life together. I love the photo.
Thank you for sharing a piece of your personal history. It was beautiful! I look back on the lives of my parents and my grandparents and I think… how did they do it? They overcame so much.
