Divergent and Insurgent by Veronica Roth
I enjoyed both books - hard to put both down. I wonder when the next book or the movie series will come out?
For fun I read: A Turn in the Road by Debbie Macomber - a good light story, especially as I was on fluids Sunday and mostly taking it easy.
Currently reading:
I am taking part in several teacher book clubs this summer, so I will be working through:
The Daily Five by Gail Boushey and Joan Moser (this will be a reread for me)
Guiding Readers by Lori Jamison Rog
Guided Math by Lanny Sammons
I am reading these as well:
Fatty Legs by ChristyJordan-Fenton and Margaret Pokiak-Fenton
Having lived in the NWT, I had visited Aklavik and was familiar with the residential issues. A true story and a powerful one.
The Bread Winner by Deborah Ellis (YA novel about a girl in Afghanistan)
Have read a few chapters - such challenges for this family
I just ordered and got "Take Joy" by Jane Yolen. As it states "A writer's guide to loving the craft." As I am taking part in the Writing for Teachers workshop, I thought this would be a good book to read.
There are still a pile of books though that I want to make a big dent in! Sometimes a book just calls to be read.
Be sure to check here and here for some great reads!

What great reads! I loved Divergent and cannot wait to read Insurgent. Breadwinner is such an important book, I hope you enjoyed it as much as me.
Happy reading this week! :)
"Fatty Legs" was an intriguing title and cover. I hopped on over to Goodreads and after reading the summary, I've added it to my list of books to read. Thanks! Not an area I'm familiar with, but the "true stories" always interest me.
