I couldn't believe the skies when I walked out of school tonight - and to make it worse I had no camera! All the way home (a 30 minute drive) I kept looking at the sky and hoping the clouds and sun would remain intact. Of course they don't - but I got a few interesting shots.

Oh, these are lovely, Bev! Love the cloud patterns! Reminds me of some that we've had recently. It seems as though the very time that I don't have my camera is the very time the beautiful shots are there!!! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I never have my camera with me when I need it, no matter how often I remind myself to take it.

I like the many different cloud formations. The middle one looks like some moody storm clouds brewing. Lovely pictures of the clouds, I like them.

Doesn't that make you mad when you don't have your camera? I try (try) to remember to put it in the car everyday!!! If I don't something great will appear/ha

Another blogger posted similar skies for Skywatch Friday and said a teacher of hers, many years ago, had taken the time to educate her on this cloud formation which he called "mackerel skies". I'd never heard of this term before but now when I see them, I'll be sure to remember "mackerel skies".
