GPP #42 - Strip Ease

Michelle Ward's new challenge at GPP, for July, is "Strip Ease"

What a fun challenge -tearing scraps of painted papers and gluing them down! Part of the process though, was to observe the tearing process and the effect of tearing different ways.
I created a journal page with several remnants of painted papers I had already created.

But, once I started, I couldn't stop! I started making ATC backgrounds.

The next step will be to take this backgrounds and add to them.

Be sure to check out the other participants of the GPP challenge here.

This looks like fun. Do you have the same problem as me - I create a background, like it and don't want to cover it? I love using all kinds of different textured papers, this would be a perfect exercise for that.
Have a great weekend.

Bev - wow! Look how much fun you had! Great pieces. Love that you did a page AND some ATCs. The difference in scale must have been a fun challenge too. Thanks for sharing with the team!

Your backgrounds look like tiny landscapes to me - I'll be really interested to see what you do with them. Thanks for sharing them with us.

I like the desert one with the cactus. (Well that's what "I" see and I like it!)

I haven't done ATCs in about a year but that seems to be a good way to jump start them. Thanks for sharing your ideas.

Oh, I totally know what you mean about not being able to stop! Once I saw how cool the strip effect was, I knew I had to keep going with it. If I weren't busy today with a dinner party, I'd be journal-paging all my strips! or, vice-versa. I love what you've done, continuing to ATCs. Nice colors and variety. Rock on!
