Wishcast Wednesday

Today Jamie Ridler asks another probing question:

What do you wish to let go?

As I thought about the question I realized that it was negative thinking that I have to let go of, once and for all. While working through The Joy Diet, I have had many negative things surface, yet it is the very attitude of negativity that has seeped into my being.

I used to be a much more positive person - but now I seem to see a glass half empty.

Anger, pain, grief, hopelessness even, have been eating away at me.

And I HATE it!

I am letting my age number dictate what I can and can't do.

I am letting anger and grief fill me at times.

I am letting aches and pains dominate.
I am letting weight and clutter weigh me down.

I need to let it all go - I need to look at the glass half full. Age should not define me. There is a lot still to do and a lot I want to do!

As Jamie says: "There is great power in wishing together." Be sure to visit other great wishcasters here.

This is a great post and eye opening for me also. When I was thinking of what I needed to let go, I also felt the negativity creep in. So I am shifting my perspective also and looking for the positive.

Peace and Love.

One of the great things about the blog world is that we aren't allowed to be defined by things....because our reader can't 'see' us, only 'hear' us.

And, your spirit is ageless and wonderful. That's what and who we know.

Care to join us in becoming aware for yourself what we all know? You are a divine work in progress and today you are wonderful.

Get to work...Spirit wishes to fill your glass...and there's no reason to ever wonder is it half empty or half full. You can have a full glass! Cheers!!

As Bunny's Girl so rightly wishes for herself, I lovingly and with intention wish for her also.

Let me know what time to come over for drinks!

Do something really, REALLY sweet and kind for yourself today. Soothe your pessimist, swoon it. Try talking to the pessimist as you would a child who is in need of love.

I hear the strength in there, Beverley! You can do it!

PS I talked rebellion when it comes to age in yesterday's podcast. I am with you on that one!

Your strength and determination are loud and clear. Making that kind of declaration about yourself is half the process, and you seem to be very clear about what you want to let go. If you haven't read Katie Byron's book that we read last Joy Diet chapter I recommend it to kill some of those negative thoughts.

As Beverly wishes for herself, so I wish for her also.

As Beverly wishes for herself, I positively wish for her as well...

yeah - I totally understand those negative scripts...I think that is what makes me "hide" myself. I know what is going on internally and think, "I'd better not shine too bright...or they'll see all this negativity"... thank you for your honesty...it shed light in my little hiding place. :)
