31 Days of Art and Inspiring Words - Day 31

Hard to believe that this is the last day of the 31 Days of Writing challenge. I have enjoyed choosing meaningful quotes, learning a bit more about the authors of these quotes and then creating the cards.
I have had a chance to visit many of the other bloggers taking part in the challenge and hope to visit more in the month ahead.


Well the card for today actually shows that when I said I would take part in the challenge and create 31 art cards, that I actually did it. Your word must be counted on.

Carl S. Jung was born in 1875 in Switzerland and is known as the founder of analytical psychology.He was a psychiatrist  and a psychotherapist.

31 Days of Art and Inspiring Words - Day 30

Today is Day 30 of the 31 Days of Writing - the daily blogging challenge so many have taken part in this month. Only one day left after today.


I am sure we all wonder what the meaning of life is or even what it is we were meant to do. Shakespeare's words cut to that with clarity.

"The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away."

Shakespeare is considered one of the greatest writers of all time. His plays are still being performed; hos words still resonating over 400 years since his death.

Today is Day 29 of the 31 Days of Writing blogging challenge.

Our thoughts can lift us up or drag us down. Our thoughts can change us. Be sure to think positively - our lives depend on it!

Marcus Aurelius was one of the most important Stoic philosphers. He was also a Roman Emperor, from 161 AD to 180 AD.

Today is Day 28 of the 31 Days of Writing blogging challenge for October.


NaNoWriMo begins November 1st and when I read these words, they inspired me in my quest to complete this challenge of writing 50,000 words in a month. (The source is unknown)

ABC Wednesday - P and WOYWW

This week at ABC Wednesday, P is our letter of focus.

P is for - photo collage.I have a bag of photo scraps that I grabbed and created this quick photo collage.

Once that one was done I remembered the challenge at Art Journal Journey where the theme was "Architecture". The old buildings, especially the churches, in Cambridge are gorgeous and I had a lot of photo scraps of these buildings..

WOYWW

Time to share our work spaces for WOYWW - the weekly challenge at "Stamping Ground", hosted by Julia Dunnit.


Creating the photo challenges above, I worked on my dining room table. You can see the pile of photo scraps.

In the top right corner is my dramboard journal. I really do need to create a better cover!
It is the Full Hunter's moon and I created a dreamboard for the month ahead. I find this practice to be a very visual way to express my dreams for what I seek. (Check here for more details, where I wrote about it on my writing blog)

31 Days of Art and Inspiring Words - Day 27

Today is Day 27 of the 31 Days of Writing blogging challenge.


Time seems to rush by now. I am always bemoaning the fact that there isn't enough time to do all that I want to do. Not wasting time is the message in today's quote:

"If you love life, don't waste time, for time is what life is made of."

Bruce Lee crammed so much into his short life - he died at age 32. Born in Hong Kong he was a martial artist, the founder of Jeet Kune Do. He went on to become an actor and filmmaker His movies are still popular today.

Today is Day 26 of the 31 Days of Writing blogging challenge. It is also the final week of the challenge. I've enjoyed creating and visiting other blogs. - still many more to visit though.


Helping those less fortunate is something we should all strive to do. We live in a world there is so much injustice, inequality. The words of President John F. Kennedy resonate (as do so many of his quotes):
