IT's Friday and the first full day of summer!

I created a visionboard/bucket list for the summer months today - to spur me on. As MORE is my OLW (One Little Word), I used that as the basis for the piece.

Sunday Postcard Art
The theme at Sunday Postcard Art this week is "seashells"

I had some old paper placemats with seashells and I have been reading Anne Morrow Lindbergh's memoir "Gift From the Sea" - seemed like an obvious match!

The theme at TIOT is "For the Boys". I gathered up some photos of my two boys and came up with this piece.

Take a Word Challenge
At "Take a Word Challenge" the theme is "June Brides". As I thought about it, I knew I wanted to use my Mom and I - ven though neither of us married in June. Our weddings were decades apart, yet we are united by love.

The theme for June at Creative Every Day is "Stars". This quote by Teddy Roosevelt has always appealed to me:

Hard to believe it is already the first of June. Where has the time gone?

Here are a few pieces I worked on this week - for some challenges.

ICAD
ICAD is a yearly challenge in June and July, is also a daily challenge using index cards. I've taken part now for several years and really enjoy this. Daisy Yellow provides themes and ideas and lots of help to spark your creativity.
This week the theme is on using letters, font, words.
My first card is a focus on what I hope to accomplish this month:

The theme for Sunday Postcard Art is "Faces". Took me longer to find so many faces than to create the card!

Take a Word Challenge

For Take a Word Challenge, the theme is "Two". I tried different pairs, but settled on roses.

This will be the last challenge for Mixed Media Monthly Challenge. The theme this month is "Wrap It Up"
