It is almost impossible to make sense of the massacre of 9 people - in a church, no less.
Evil seems to be seeping into every part of our world. Charleston, S.C. is one of the most heinous.
I turned to words to help me - words by Martin Luther King Jr. and others - to help see that love, acceptance, respect, dignity must prevail.
My two journal spreads reflect these words.
LOVE MUST TRIUMPH!

So sad, and things like that are just impossible to understand. Valerie
Your journal pages are so profound. I agree, our only hope is love. As W. H. Auden said, 'We must love one another or die.'All we can do is, each of us, strive to work together against hate, fear, intolerance and violence and to extend a hand of friendship. xxx
Good way to work through your thoughts and feeling on such an illogical circumstances.
It seems to get harder each time something as hateful and horrific as this occurs. Your pages depict what it is we all need in order to keep such awful things from happening.
Beautiful journalpages with very wise words. I'm so happy that art can help us deal with feelings of loss and bewilderment. At least some good can come out of tragedy that way ...
You are so right, Beverley! Love must triumph! I'm praying they take down that flag!!!!
It is so sad but you are so right with your wonderful pages, thank you for sharing them on Show Your Face and for the shout out too. Kx
