ABC Wednesday - W and WOYWW
This week at ABC Wednesday, W gets centre stage.
W is for watercolour - one of my favourite mediums. I have taken several courses and seek to improve. I collect watercolours as well.
This evening, I was looking for some inspiration and then saw the photo of our cat Fluffy, who we had for 21 years, hanging just a few feet away.(She has been gone now for almost 3 years - still miss her)
I attempted to paint her in watercolour, although the colours are a tad darker and not as varied as Fluffy who was a maine coon cat.
W is also for WOYWW, which stands for "What's on Your Workspace Wednesday", a fun weekly gathering where artists from around the world share what and where they have been working the past week.
I needed to see the photo hanging, so today I worked at my dining room table, where I tend to do small collages and watercolour.
Be sure to check here for ABC Wednesday
and here for "Stamping Ground" for WOYWW.

I would love to be able to watercolor too.
It looks like a fun medium.
Cute kitty! I have never painted with watercolour might give it a go! Lea #30
Hi Bev, happy WOYWW. I love watercolours too and use my Distress Inks with water...I've a lot to learn. Your kitty painting is very good. Enjoy your week Cheers RobynO#16
Very nice! Always wanted to try to paint. But I am more of a pen and paper person!
Well done! That is just an adorable likeness of your kitty--the technique is right on. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #43
love the cat!

I can't draw, much less make watercolors go where they're supposed to. Your cat drawing is gorgeous. I had a friend who had a Maine Coon. That was one fluffy and adorable cat! Happy WOYWW from # 5.
I have not tried painting with watercolors. Cute kitty! Great way to remember Fluffy. Diane #41
A sweet rendering of your Fluffy. Our Molly the Cat is half Maine Coon. I've yet to get her colors right when I draw her. Her colors continually change.

Ah so Cute! Never attempted to watercolor a cat that I can recalled.
Well done for using watercolours, not the easiest of mediums
