This week at ABC Wednesday, the letter of the week is G.
Choosing the materials was easy - creating with them was a bit of a challenge.
G is for glue and glitter.
It is also that time of the week when we share our worktables at "Stamping Ground".
Creating with glue and glitter did not result in creating the wonderfull vision I had - of a colourful sunset with a river and green grass.
I had no blue, which I really hadn't checked for before I started. No orange or yellow either. But I still had fun. Now I really have a glittery abstract(mess).
At least I used a small box to capture the extra glitter!
Glitter is one thing I refused to use in my classroom. I had known a child who got an infected eye from using glitter (not in my classroom, thankfully) and I always feared using it with so many children. The custodians hated it as well.
I also painted another background for my journal - not sure what I will create with this one yet.

I feel so girly when I use or wear glittery stuff.

my daughter would have that stuff all over the place!

I have a hard time getting glitter to look glittery when I photograph it.
It may not have turned out how you wanted, but it sure is pretty! Happy WOYWW Helen #5
Well, that is a lot of glitter :-)
I love to start on black backgrounds too.

You've been busy! I can see the path through the grass and the cheerful and colourful destination - it's all good! You were brave to use glitter like that, it drives me nuts and I would have sent a lot of time casting around for something else before doing that!
love your picture my hubby doesnt let me use loose glitter at home as it/me makes such a mess and we find it for months after on ourselves! lol
Happy WOYWW

I can remember using glitter and glue when I was in primary school MANY years ago. I remember that I thought it looked kind of magical. Good thing I didn't know about eye infections or I might have become paranoid!
”G is for Gondwanaland”, my ABCW post for this week
I love the abstract glitter piece... I probably love this even more than the one you describe (but weren't able to make...) I don't use glitter as I find it too messy (I used it years ago and kept on finding glitter in the living room, kitchen, bathroom and even in the bedroom for months!)Happy woyww and a big hug from Holland, Marit #41
Oh how I love glitter! Great project. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #41

Looks like great fun going on there. Happy crafting, Chris # 21
Who can resist glitter, although it can take on a life of its own with its ability to migrate to anywhere in the house:-)

Love all the glitter! I found the custodians that did not fret so much over the glitter were the ones who were grandparents and knew how much fun the kids had. Then there were the grumpy joe's hehe.
Creative Blessings! Kelly #66
I do love a bit of shine and glitter! Enjoy!

Hello!
I love glitter - never a project that can't be improved with a bit of glitter! Good thinking on the part of the children - too young to handle this medium and so can be very messy also! Wishing you a happy day!
Hugs,
Barbara Diane
