Have been trying to upload pictures for a while and I am getting ticked off. This has been an ongoing problem for a while - but I can usually get around it by logging of and returning. But no go tonight! Ugh!
Any suggestions?
Even going to help is a pain - no response.
I have complete my full moon dreamboard - what a gorgeous full moon tonight!
It continues with my need to be healthy and to seek action and art this month.
As soon as I am able I will upload pictures.
Take care!

Shadow Shot Sunday
A beautiful, crisp morning - as has been most days this week. Autumn is definitely here, The evenings are cooler but the days have been lovely.
Yesterday our school did the annual Terry Fox run and it was we raised almost $2000.
Our walk took us through a park I had not been before and the colours were lovely. I wished I had taken a camera!
Here are a few shadows from this morning.
Fluffy loves to lay in the sun on our porch most days. At 20 she deserves to rest when and where she chooses!
Couldn't resist this shadow.
Love these leafy shadows.

Fall Tree of Intentions
Happy first day of fall! Our trees are not yet in full colour but the leaves have started to turn.
Today I decided to return to a practice I have done several times - creating a fall tree of intention. The dreamboards I've done have been beneficial and fun to do. This seasonal tree helps me focus on what intentions I have for the coming season.
The six branches hold the following categories:
Spiritual, Intellectual, Social, Career, Healthy Living, and Creative.
Each leaf holds an intention for the coming three months. Some are very specific while others were more general.
I also included my word(s) of the year "Carpe Diem" as well as two quotes from my last dreamboard:
"Make the most of my journey" and "Life is a special occasion."
Shadow Shot Sunday
On a cloudy day shadows can be tricky to capture. This morning I played peek-a-boo with the sun. Just as I saw a shadow the clouds would cover up the sun. But I persevered (as I wished for a jacket!) and was able to capture a couple of shadows.
And then just as I snapped a shot, the sun disappeared.
Yesterday at the Ancaster Fair, the clouds were with us as well on our first school trip. The kids had a great time watching animals, climbing on tractors and exploring buildings and displays. I got a couple of faint shadows - this was the best of them

It's Monday! What are You reading?
It's been a couple of weeks since I participated. The last 2 weeks have been busy with school, so not as much reading as I did over the summer.
With school though, I have read all the books that I described here. These books were enjoyed by all the children (and myself!)
What I did read though was excellent:
"When God was a Rabbit" by Sarah Winman
I was surprised by this but did enjoy it.
"The Castaways" by Elin Hilderbrand
I finally finished this. I enjoy her books - more of a light read, but it did take me most of the summer to finish - too many other good books to read.
By far, the best book in a while was:
"The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry" by Rachel Joyce
I admit I had tears at times but I LOVED it. A gentle but powerful book. Read it!
I have just started "The Beautiful Mystery" by Louise Penny
This is the newest book in the Inspector Gamache series and I am thoroughly enjoying it.( Even read til 12:30 last night as I could not sleep.)
I have so many books started but interrupted by books bought or recommended - will eventually get back to them. Not sure what I will read after this one.
Be sure to check here and here for some great reads.

Shadow Shot Sunday
I must apologize especially to our SSS community - I so enjoy the challenge of shadow chasing and the wonderful community of SSS - but I have not been responding to those who visited lately. The past two weeks of school have been exhausting and blogging has fallen by the wayside. I don't know if it is due to having a split class, the political fallout from our Ontario government or just being a year older, but the start of this year has been more tiring than most.
But I have missed my usual challenges and need to get back to regular routines.
The weather has been up and down the past two weeks. It has rained , been hot, then cloudy. Today there is a bit of sun but it is much cooler. Nice for a change.
Here are some shadows I caught in our yard:
I had a couple more shadows to share but I am having the same issues with blogger I had 2 weeks ago. So I will save those for another day.
Be sure to visit here to see lots of interesting shadows from around the world.

Shadow Shot Sunday
Another gorgeous morning and shadows were everywhere in the garden as I walked around. It is nearing the end of the growing season though - so many of our plants are dying or have finished blooming. So sad. But there is still beauty to be found.
Be sure to check here for shadows from around the world. SSS2 is such a fun meme!
Is anyone else having problems with Blogger?
First issue was even accessing the bar at the top to create a new post - it wasn't there. Finally got it through going into one of the blogs I visit and then going back to my blog.
The real issue though has been uploading photos. What a trial that has been. But I did persevere!
