Very varied this week, with rain and clouds and much cooler weather. Winter is on its way. But this morning the sun was shining and as I let our cat out the back, I saw shadows on our pumpkin. Perfect timing - for SSS and for Hallowe'en!

Now, this is the PERFECT shot for the season Happy Halloween in advance to you. I love your little pumpkin and its shadow. There is something about the small ones that appeal so much more to me than the big ones. genie

I look out at my car every morning now and say to my husband, "There's frost on my pumpkin." We wouldn't be able to leave a vegetable outside overnight. It would be squish the next morning, not squash.

The pumpkin throws a cool shadow - rotund in subject, the gourd taking a more oval form in shadow. And the stem is great, a curvy punctuation to the subject. Happy Halloween!
