Shadow Shot Sunday

As I stepped out to get our morning paper this morning I saw shadows from our almost life-size nativity set. As this is "the reason for the season", I thought what better shadow than to show shadows from the wiseman - casting shadows on Mary and Joseph and baby Jesus.

We have had this creche gracing our front yard for many years now and at night when they are lit up and the spotlights are on, it is a lovely sight. I never tire of seeing it when I come home. We have had many people remark on it. It is truly beautiful with snow surrounding the figures.

Be sure to visit the other shadow chasers at Hey Harriet!

Jesus is the reason for the season, indeed! I'm thankful we live in a country where we can display such reminders.

The shadows seem to be the spirit of the Holy Family. They appear as persons, their shadows extend the holiness of our saviour. The mighty Jesus came to be in a lowly manger, showing us his access for all of us commoners. This manger scene is very special!

What a great shot...now for the snow 'eh? We enjoy looking at nativities...we have quite a collection of smaller pieces that we both put throughout our homes!
Enjoy your week Beverly!

The Nativity set is lovely, they bring back so many childhood memories...and waiting for snow how exciting! Wish it was cooler here in Australia, it is so hot here that as I am writing to you I am in the airconditioning!
Have a great week :)
