Shadow Shot Sunday

The day after we received a few centimeters of snow, the sun was shining brightly and it was beautiful outside - cold yes, but a lovely day. Shadows were distinct and abundant! Here are fa few from this week:

Snow acts as a canvas for shadowy art. Even the faint winter sun allows for lovely art, the bare trees leaving their shadowy imprint below. Nice!

We've had snow in my neck of the woods, but not that much! Except for a few stray patches in shaded areas, all our snow is gone--thank goodness!

IF YOU SEE A SHADOW

If you see a shadow
And want to keep it near,
Point your trusty shooter
(Make sure the lens is clear);
Press with care the shutter,
Do not slam or sock it—
Then you’ll have a photo
To carry in your pocket!

Snow is an amazing backdrop for shadows. Many of us shadow hunters are buried in snow at the moment, so we photograph it. All our shots are similar in that there is white snow pictured and yet, they are all so uniquely varied and different. I love it!

Wonderful winter shadows!
We've had new snow happening since last night and not expected to stop any time soon. Until it stops, there won't be shadows because the sky is almost as white as the ground.
