We have come to the end of this round! 26 weeks of sharing so many fascinating posts.
Z brings us to the end. Will we be beginning a new round next week? Stay tuned!
I was surprised at just how many Z artists there were, many of them Chinese and Japanese artists.
here are 3 I chose to focus on:
Francisco de Zurbarán (1598 – 1664) a Spanish painter, known primarily for his religious paintings. His nickname was Carvaggio.
Marguerite Zorach (née Thompson) (1887 - 1968) an American painter, textile artist and graphic designer ( she was married to the sculptor William Zorach)
Marguerite Zorach (née Thompson) (1887 - 1968) an American painter, textile artist and graphic designer ( she was married to the sculptor William Zorach)
Anders Leonard Zorn (1860 – 1920) one of Sweden’s foremost artists who was a painter, sculptor and printmaker

I went to visit Zurbaran and his painting of St. Francis but abandoned him for Zabaglione, St. Francis is more spiritual but Zabaglione is more tasteful, I thought!
I was looking forward to see who you'd find for the Z Day! Great ones! As always! Hope your week is going well! Enjoy!

impressed that you found any, let alone three!

Wonderful paintings.
I love that comment by Hildred!
I am impressed with the work of Marguerite Zorach, especially as she was a graphic designer as well as a painter and textile artist. I must look for her on Google, and learn more. Thank you!

I'd hang that Zorach in my place. Nice choices this week.
I had thought of highlighting Zorn too--but you did a wonderful job finding Z artists.
Nicely done!
These are wonderful artists - I'll do more research into their fascinating styles. Thanks for an interesting series!
I like your take on the alphabet, as I am an artist. I had no idea that there were any well known artists whose names started with a "Z". Now I do.
Thanks for your kind comment, it was a fun thing to do.
Love your hearts, I kind of miss my squares but I'm loving my new collage a week;)
Thank once more for the great tour of artists A-Z! I had forgotten that Zurbaran and Caravaggio are one and the same.
