This week at ABC Wednesday, D is the letter of focus.
D is for Dance.
Continuing with my "More" series, focusing on what I want to have more in my life, DANCE is definitely something I want to do more of. In my twenties, my exercise of choice was dance - I would put on a tape I made and just dance, for 30 or 40 minutes each night. (It was certainly a great way to lose weight!)
There are so many great dance songs - many by lady Gaga and the BeeGees. How freeing it is to just feel the music and dance.
I had to give it up a few years ago when arthritis made it painful to dance. But I have decided I need to start again, with baby steps, to recapture the joy of dancing.
Here are the art cards I created to remind to just dance.
Be sure to check here to see what others around the world do for D.

Each week at Stamping Ground, Julia Dunnit encourages us to share our work spaces and what we we are working on.
I created the backgrounds for the cards above at my art table. Right now it is needing a major clean up. I need to reorganize the whole room - beginning first with finding new homes for my teaching books (well over a hundred books)
Then I finished the cards with the quotes at my dining room table.

Evening Bev. I like that - dance like nobody's watching! Occasionally I have had a worship CD on and find myself dancing to it - wouldn't dare to do it in public though!!! Hope you are able to dance more.
Take care. God bless.

I also love that ,, beautifully done!!
There is a theory that dance is great for arthritis and with the many dance forms there may be some that can ease you back in. For a time enjoyed Zumba as the teacher was an overweight young man so it fitted my aging body. The current teacher is too bouncy so I dropped the Zumba for the other classes to keep my parts in motion. Zumba at least put me in touch with contemporary music and even Salsa!
My journal is calling as it has been neglected this week.

Love the pages Bev. I do hope you can find something you can do. I too used to love dancing, now I get too breathless. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 XxX
Interesting projects you have on the go. Any form of exercise that makes you happy has to be good, just take it easy to start off. Happy belated woyww, Angela x15x
Hi Bev, I look forward to seeing what you do with your weekly prompt and have fun guessing what the next one may be. E is for...? I'll find out next week. Have a good one! Sarah #12
Oh yes, there’s always time for a bit of fancy footwork! I agree about the dance. I have a friend who is learning ballroom and Latin on a weekly basis and she is LOVING it, we’re all a bit jealous!! I love the cards you’ve made..quite like the idea of doing the mucky work at one desk and then moving to another to finish up!
