There is something about shadows that draws me - the dark contrast to the light, the odd shapes created. I tend to look for them first - it has become a bit of an addiction! At least I know I am not alone in my addiction!
Be sure to check

Yes, you definitely are not alone, Bev!! We haven't had much "shadow compatible" weather lately, but I'm always looking! Your shadows for the day are so beautiful!! I do love the flowers and the leaves on the blinds!! Terrific! Hope you're enjoying a great weekend!
I guess we are many who are addicted to our meme.
Thanks Harriet for bringing us ONE.
Beautiful flowers. So sunny there, huh? Likewise and no rain for a week.
It's summer time.

Shadows add a sort of 3-D effect to any subject. However, flowers take ti shadows quite nicely: their shapes are enhanced by the extra layer a shadow adds. As if they double in size with the shadowy lighting. How are we to resist the elegance of a shadow??
Ever since I saw Peter Pan I have loved shadows. I collect silhouettes! I love the odd shapes, like your rose shadow.
