ABC Wednesday - Kis for Helen Keller

This week at ABC Wednesday, K is the letter of the week.

It was an easy choice this week, as Helen Keller is one of my heroes. For all that she had to endure, her wisdom shines through.

Here are some of her wonderful quotes:

All the world is full of suffering. It is also full of overcoming.

Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.

I long to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is my chief duty to accomplish small tasks as if they were great and noble.

It is a terrible thing to see and have no vision.

For more information on this remarkable lady, visit here.

Be sure to stop by ABC Wednesday and check out how others have shown K.

the last quote is the best.
always think of Patty Duke, who, I believe has played both lead roles (at different times!) in the Miracle Worker.

I have always admired Helen Keller. As a child I could not believe all she went through. It was so foreign to me. hen the movie The miracle orker came out i begged my mother to let me see it. I sat through it three times in a row. Last spring while in Alabama I went by her home. It was amazin that she had such vision.

She's a hero of mine as well, although I cannot remember when I first heard about her, she's not that well-known here in Germany.
