Double Vision for Collage Obsession / Inspiration Avenue

This week at Collage Obsession, the theme is "Double Vision". I had several ideas but nothing worked.
Then tonight as I was gathering up prints I had made with the gelli oplate, I saw the 2 door prints. I decided to check for quotes and found the perfect one.

"When one door closes, another opens;
but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.
Alexander Graham Bell

 It fell into place, with the prints in the background as well.

Be sure to check out the inspirations here.

For Inspiration Avenue, the focus was on "Show and Tell" - sharing a favourite piece.

I decided to share the artwork I created in honour of my Mom and her mother, in a mixed media art course I took a few years ago. It was a week long course and one of the techniques taught was transferring photos       - which I used quite a bit.

Be sure to check out the other artists here.

I'm so glad you participated in the Show and Tell challenge this week. Your mixed media piece honoring your mother and grandmother is lovely. It has a timeless essence to it that I really feel drawn to.
