Shadow Shot Sunday

Shadows have abounded lately with the sunny weather and never better than in my garden. Some of the flowers have been at their peak and I've had so much pleasure photographing them. Here are a few:

Be sure to check out all the different shadows at Hey Harriet - that super-fun, addictive meme, created by Tracy.

Such lovely flowers and beautiful shadow shots for the day, Bev! By the way, I love the quote under your header as well as the one by Rumer Godden! Hope your new school year gets off to a great start! Enjoy your weekend!

These shadows are wonderful, be it within the flower or out. The colder months are soon to arrive, so these flowers remain lovely to look at. So nice is your garden!

It's sobering to realise that shadows are lurking around the brightest flowers...

I LOVE MY SHADOW

I love my shadow,
My shadow loves me;
We chat together
And don’t disagree!

My shadow and I
Prefer not to shout
As we go walking
And rambling about.

My shadow’s so wise,
I ask what she thinks;
She’s happy to share,
And then nods and winks.

My shadow and I
Are best buds, you see;
That’s why we try hard
To always agree!

It is not quite 7 AM here and I hear a few thunder cracks .. I so hope it rains because the garden is DRY and this heat and humidity is horrible .. roll on October!!!
