Shadow Shot Sunday

Going away for 10 days and taking time away from blogging has given me time to rest and appreciate the best of the blogging world. I truly missed those people I visit and hear from. But it also made me realize how much time I did spend online - especially in the summer. Next week marks getting back into school routines and thus, less time to blog.

My favourite meme has to be Shadow Shot Sunday. On our trip to Montreal and Lake George, N.Y., I took a lot of photos, but also a lot of shadow shots! Here are a few to share this week:

(This was actually a leaf - couldn't resist it!)

Be sure to stop by Hey Harriet - that fun meme created by Tracy - and see great shadows!

Love that heart shaped shadow, what a great find.
The words of Jack Layton are inspiring, I don't know his politics but if his words reflect them Canada has lost a great man.

Love the leaf picture - heart. Love the chicken picture also.

gorgeous shadow shots-especially the heart! And I sure appreciate your banner- great advice! Easier to love than to be angry. Less wrinkles in ones face too!

You and I both spend a lot of time online. I hope your respite gives you new perspectives. And thank you for the leaf shadow--delightful!

SHADOW DITTY

Shadows of onyx, shadows of grey,
Shadows to chase my doldrums away;
Shadows each morning, shadows at night,
Shadows, O shadows, you’re my delight!

Wonderful shadows, Bev.
I read Jack's last letter to Canadians, which he ended with these words you've quoted, and it was amazing. Can you imagine, knowing you're dying, yet putting so much wisdom and heart into a letter? I hope his work does not go unnoticed.

That is a very inspring quote from Jack at the top of your page. He will be missed.
