Shadow Shot Sunday

Time once again to share shadows. This week has had such a range of weather. Again we are back to cool weather and rain! Maybe warmer weather tomorrow.

Most of the shadows I found this week were subtle, but I wanted to capture some of the flowers in the garden.

I also caught our little robin baby sitting on the chain by the house. He stayed there for almost an hour as my husband mowed the lawn around him,. I finally had to gently take the extension cord away and he flew/hopped away. I have seen him a couple of times since.

Be sure to stop by Hey Harriet, that super fun meme created by Tracey for some fascinating shadows.

Love the little froggie ShadowShot. I have one with a gnome riding on his back. Guess I should see if they cast any good shadows too! Happy SSS and Memorial Day.

Do I see trillium there in the shade? Why, I believe I do! It's a lovely flower that, if one is lucky, one can see it blooming in the wild in Appalachia.

I ALMOST LOST MY SHADOW

I almost lost my shadow,
I left it in the park;
I heard my mommy calling,
For it was getting dark;

She has no use for shadows,
She thinks they are quite grim,
And when she saw my shadow,
She thought it was a “him.”

I had to educate her
And tell her it was “she’
And now my faithful shadow
Is welcome as can be!

I love your photography. I find shadows interesting but also difficult to shoot.

Wonderful soft shadows falling over the blooms. Spring has truly sprung as the pastel flowers are enhanced by equally soft shadows. The baby bird is growing, and not terribly afraid of the suburban tending to the lawn. The little guy must feel right at home in your yard!

Sure signs of Spring, Bev, especially the baby robin. What an enchanting little fellow, sitting on the extension cord, of all places! Wonderful!

I love to watch the baby birds. Sometimes they gorge themselves on our feeder and get too fat to fly. So they have to sit quietly somewhere to let the food go down. Eventually they fly off. Hopefully the Cooper's Hawk doesn't visit in the mean time!

So nice to see the flowers blooming. Your little robin is so cute. I don't think I have ever seen a baby robin before. Great shadow images as usual.
