Shadow Shot Sunday

More snow! The snow banks are piling up! I went out early this afternoon to look for shadows and found SNOW and more snow.
I did get a few shadows though. Here's our backyard - Santa locked in snow!

A shot of the end of the driveway:

On a bus trip yesterday with my class I saw this while we were stopped for lights and had to take a shot of it!

Be sure to visit Hey Harriet and check out the great shadows there. Once you start searching for shadows , you can't help but get addicted!

Oh, it does look sooooo cold! You've had so much snow -- as so many have! I feel like a wuss whining about the fact that we have gray, grumpy skies and while it's a long way from warm, it surely isn't as cold as Canada and other places here in the states!! Hope you have great weekend, Bev! Stay warm!

The snow is so tiring, our street is not wide enough for two cars with the snow piled so high and deep on the sides. Obviously, in southern CT we just don't get this much snow - until this season! Of course, the snow makes for outstanding shadow art. So winter is good for that - and will allow us to more fully appreciate the warmth of Spring...

Excellent shots as usual,I love the bike. I can't believe you are still getting snow!! It is bucketing down rain here as usual. I was in North Van yesterday and it was raining - of course and there was fresh snow on the mountains. It was so cold!! I had a good excuse to stop in at Starbucks for a latte" - to get warm. The rain had stopped by then and I walked down to the seabus. I was born in North Van so I had a little trip down memory lane while I was there! Hope all is well with you.

The bicycle looks as though it could use some encouragement and companionship!

A SEEKER OF SHADOWS

A seeker of shadows one day
Asked shadows to come out and play:
“O shadows, my dears,
Despite all my fears,
I hope you will not run away.”

I love the last shot and the shadow of the basket and handlebars. I think my bike would curl up it's wheels and refuse to move too if it saw snow like that!

ha! when I got to the last I had to laugh. great shadow shot! there's a lot of snow where I live too, but the temperatures are moderating and I can feel Spring beginning to inch towards us. the early signs are subtle but they are there...
happy SSS!

Oh poor pushbike! The one of Santa is cute. I'm glad Christmas is well and truly over and he's already delivered his presents :) Have a great week Bev!

Perfect Canadian snow shadows. And making people feel sorry for the bicycle! Canadians love to have people feeling sad for our inanimate objects! LOL
