Shadow Shot Sunday

I wouldn't say shooting shadows was an obsession, but it's close! A shadow can definitely change a scene and can be quite interesting in its own right.
Here are a few from this past week:

Be sure to check out the shadows found by the great shadow chasers at Hey Harriet!

The dead leaves seem enough alive to offer fine shadows. The circular design on the outside door is rich and shadowy. The winter sun allows for excellent outside shadows despite the outside temperatures...

Lovely series, I like the iron lattice work the best :-)

I do so know what you mean about shadows becoming an obsession! It's the same with me! But you do begin to see a beauty in the world that you never noticed before! Yours are a perfect example today! Enjoy your weekend, Bev!

Since participating in shadow shot Sunday I've been looking at the world with different eyes. Proust would be charmed. Not only do I look differently, but I SEE. Things that I wouldn't have otherwise, I'm sure. I really like the bright white of your shadows shots. Especially the delicate top one.

If the shadows stood alone, without their object,we could conjure up all sorts of beginnings! Happy SSS to you Bev!

Hey Bev! We love your soft pretty shadows this week. That second picture...the shadow reminds us of a bird - sweet!

Great set of shots! I can feel the chill of the winter air in them. I hope you were rugged up in a nice big coat when outside taking these :)

Wishing you a lovely week ahead Bev!

Nice shadows Bev.

I agree with you, the shadows and the capture of said shadow really can make or 'break' a photo's perfection.

Lovely share.

Excellent shadows! Thank you for leaving a comment so I could discover your blog! If you get to use PhotoShop, you would enjoy it-especially the 'drop shadow' command!

the first one is my favourite, although they're all lovely - what are those? they almost look like dahlias. not only do dead flower heads help feed the birds, they feed our shadow shot obsessions! :D
