Happy New Year!

A new year, a new decade, a new intention!

Having been away for most of the week visiting in Montreal, it is good to be back. I did miss bogging and visiting blogs. But sometimes a break is good as well. It does make one appreciate what one has missed.

I rang in the New Year last night with my hubby and in-laws. Seems strange to say 20-10!

I have been journalling this week about 2009 - the highlights, lows, accomplishments, etc. As well, I looked back over the last decade. I made some discoveries and realized this has been a decade of real highs ( I got re-married at age 50, saw my daughter graduate), and real lows (The loss of my Mom and other family members, health issues, estrangement of family).

I want to look forward. I want to embrace this year and this decade. Sherry of Everyday Possibilities says "the best is yet to Come!" I love that sentiment! I am tired of negativity, of wasting time, of not being healthy!

So a big YES to better health, to trying new things, to meeting new people, to enjoying life. As I read this week - this is not a dress rehearsal!

Thanks to a number of people who have shared some awesome advice and tools for setting intentions:

Kathryn Antyr of Collage Diva/True North

Sherry Lee of Everyday Possibilities

Happy New Year to everyone - may this be a year of blessings, filled with creativity!

Dear Beverly-
I love your intentions for the new year. I'm so grateful you will be joining us on the "Reduce Clutter" challenge! I have added your name to the list of reduce clutter explorers.
Looking forward to getting to know you along this journey.

Warmly,

I didn't realize our birthdays were so close together. I hope you have a great one. My intention for 2010 is self-nuturing. I am so ready to do things for others but when it comes to myself it's "too much trouble, can't be bothered". My daughter has done some mind mapping so I am going to copy her and do that too.
Have a great year and I second the "leave negativity behind", I decided to do that on Jan 1st because it has been very negative around here for the past few months and I am tired of it. I can't believe how hard it is to do though.
Here's to a healthy, positive, self-nurturing 2010!
Let me know if I am sending too many e-mails, I just sent the art ones and nature ones so hope that is okay.
