Wishcast Wednesday

Jamie of Jamie Ridler Studios, once again poses a thought-provoking question:

What do you wish to begin?

The beginning of September marks the beginning of a new school year and it is always a new start for me. Usually I am making wishes relating to school.

My wish for this school year would be that I want to begin an art club for junior students - to encourage young artists to have fun and explore their creativity. I want to begin to enhance the arts at our school.

As Jamie says:
"You can be a maker of magic and a tender of wishes. Support wishes by visiting other participants, leaving a comment saying “As (insert name) wishes for her/himself, so I wish for her/him also.” It’s that simple. There is great power in wishing together."

Here I come for my weekly visit with you, Bev!

I find this wish of yours this week to be more than wonderful! Like you. I would love to be able to be a volunteer and help you with this project. You know I'll be wishing for its success.

As Bunny's Girl so generously wishes for herself and her students, I lovingly and with intention join her.

Hi, Beverley. That sounds like a fine, fine wish. My daughter simply loves art, is always exploring her artistic creativity, new looks and techniques. She has a deep passion for it, and I do my best to encourage her to throw herself into that passion, because it excites me to see her artistic efforts. So I can sympathize with you.

I am so pleased for you and your husband that things worked out for you. That must have been a very difficult week.

What a wonderful idea to begin an art club, not only will it benefit the students it will give you an opportunity at work to explore more of your own creativity. Have you heard of altered books? They are a really great creative project for kids. They cost very little and they are very individual and self-expressive and don't necessarily require any drawing or painting skills. Just a thought but I'm sure you have all kinds of great ideas already.

Oh, I just love your wish, Beverly! I was thinking along similar lines for a group of transition aged kids. I'll be praying that you receive your wish and look forward to hearing more about its development! :)
