ABC Wednesday - K is for Kilts

This week at ABC Wednesday the letter of the week is K.

As I was thinking about the letter, I realized I had the perfect choice - kilts. Each August we visit the Fergus Scottish Festival and there are always lots of kilts worn and on display. With a Scottish father, I adore all things Scottish (okay, maybe not haggis!).

Be sure to check out the other great particpants here.

I think kilts are terribly romantic, and pipers, too!

Good K - I haven't seen a kilt in quite some time...Bagpipers play here each summer for several weeks.

Just the right word. The Scots are so lucky with all their icons!

I don't have the legs for a kilt. I do love them, though.

I once asked a kilt wearer what he wore underneath. His answer: socks and shoes! Brilliant...

Oh I love kilts and bagpipes - Scottish festivals are fun. Nice to have an excuse to wear tartan.

Good one!

I've never seen a plain red and white kilt before.

Thanks for visiting my post about The King. I love the sound of a pipe band. We have one in our town that performs at civic events. - Margy
